Our Story
Once upon a time...
In the summer of 2020, I was living in the college town of Kent, Ohio, trying to eat healthier and cut out processed foods — but I never seemed to have the time. Growing up, I used to love the homemade fruit salads at my grandparents' house. I wanted to bring that simple, fresh feeling back into my life. But between grocery runs and chopping everything up, it felt like a chore.
That was my lightbulb moment.
I figured I couldn’t be the only one craving fresh fruit but short on time. So I wrote a business plan, expanded the idea to include smoothie bowls, and designed the menu around a “build your own” concept — fast, fun, and made to order.
From the moment we opened our doors in January 2021, I knew we had something special. Not just an amazing product, but a brand with real purpose.
The Fruit Stand isn’t just a business — it’s what I want to do with my life.
